Okay so the nearest hydro shop to me I won’t be using any more. This is the second time I’ve got home and noticed the wrong sized pieces, okay it’s maybe my fault for not checking granted It’s really pissing me off because I’ve got 4 plants that NEED their own tent, it’s A 1x1m, with a 6 inch inline fan, and 6 inch filter, but the dickhead in the shop gave me 5 inch ducting and I’ve a 4 inch fan spare Will temporarily this be okay 6inch carbon - 4 inch inline via 6 inch ducting, and then out the vent via 4 inch ducting. It’s only temporary until I can get back to the shop ( a week tops) Please help?!!!!!
It will work fine. Always a good idea to upsize the filter if you can. A larger carbon filter holds more carbon and will typically last a longer amount of time before changing it / be less prone to clogging. You can run an 8" on a 6" duct with a reducer after the filter.
