Hi everyone. I’ve been using Rock nutrients Supercharged Root Tonic in my dwc set up. So far it’s been great. Unfortunately the ingredients are not on the bottle nor is it anywhere online. I want to know if Hydrogaurd is still needed? I am not sure if they are the same
I don't see why not. I've been using three different brands covering 22 organisms. You will get more bang for your buck if you can purchase Garden Friendly Fungicide (GFF) instead of Hydroguard though. Same organisms, but much higher concentration in GFF and I think its cheaper as well.
Some of those root tonics are made using dilute clorox. That was the case with the Current Culture UC Roots when I was using that line. Now I just use the clorox, 2 drops per gallon per day. If the root tonic you are using has clorox, it will kill both good and bad bacteria, making it incompatible with hydroguard.
