Basically I'm getting really impatient. I know pictures help, but I dont really have any. You can check out a lot of the plants at https://instagram.com/TheGreenFarms/ if you want a closer look at the plants. You dont need an instragram to view them online. I have a few plants near ready for harvest so lets start with just 1.. The only purple picture on instragram is this plant: I'm running an autoflower outdoors, I don't know the average length it takes to grow it because it was a random feminized autoflower. But Its been planted (after it was germinated) on April 6th. It started flowering around 6+ weeks ago. (No more then 7 or 8 weeks I don't think. highly doubt 8 weeks.) The hairs have been completely orange for about 1 to 2 weeks (no more then 2 weeks.) but the trichomes are not amber. Most of them are milky, maybe literally 1 amber per 100 milky trichomes, and maybe 10 clear trichomes to every 100 milky trichomes. How much longer should I give it? Its 8am almost, I'm thinking of just going outside and harvesting it right now.. but I want it to taste the best it can + get me a reliable high. (I don't wanna hit it, and it not be worth me cutting it down.) I understand I should let it go to amber trichomes, and all that. But its been so long & its a freaking autoflower, so why is it flowering for so many weeks. So thats why im so eager to harvest because maybe its done & im just stupid. ANYWAYS.. I also have a lot of clones, the hairs are 95% Done , the trichomes are the same as the Autoflower i talked about. Basically 7/10 trichomes is milky MAYBE 8/10 milky 2/10 is clear MAYBE 1/10 clear.. it depends the clone. 1/10 is amber I havent checked the trichomes in 2 days, Do you think they turn over that quickly? OR how long do trichomes take to change color normally? I wanna harvest these already aswell, besides that 1 or 2 white pistol every so often.
Don't worry about the pistils, just the trichomes. Why don't you harvest the one with the most amber and let the others go for another week. I know about impatient, but don't ruin your harvest by chopping early. At least wait for all cloudy trichomes, Good luck on your harvest, mate. Keep us posted.
I chopped down 1 clone & the autoflower i was talking about since 99% of it was milky trichomes. & Ill have those 2 plants last me a few weeks till the rest come in. I dont think i ruined the harvest of these 2 plants because they were basically done (Trichomes were all milky, very little to non clear. & very few amber.) + Pistols on the clone was done + pistols on the autoflower were done. Im gonna wait a week or 2 on the ones where the pistols are done yet & then check their trichomes. I know not to rely on pistols, but since the trichomes arent done, ill wait for the pistols to be done then go check the trichomes again to see how they progressed.
