yes it should work. as long as it isnt cracking dry then try it out. also be mindful that it is a cigar and it will probably have to leaves and outer and an inner (not sure if thats the proper name)

Might want to ask your dad if you can use that cigar. Some good cigars can run up to 10-15 bucks a stick. Why not just go take a walk to the local supermarket or gas station and buy your own rather than freeload and steal your dad's good cigars.
