Can I remove some fan leaves two weeks into flowering

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by BayouMan, Jul 19, 2022.

  1. Good evening. I’m still on the first grow, two weeks into flowering and I’m seeing the growth spurt first hand, WOW! About half the branches shot up 6-8” or more above the scrog frame leaving many shorter growth tips shaded by the taller fan leaves and I can only leaf-tuck so much. Should I remove some of the large fan leaves from these taller branches? Or should I limit that to a few critical ones. They are under three Vivosun VS-1000 lights and with a 60” tent, I’m going to run out of clearance if they get any taller. I’ll know better next time… this grow, I didn’t learn the early topping and training methods until too late in the grow. Thanks

  2. yes you can.
btw, I lay the trellis between day 7 and 10 of the transition period (knowledge for next time).
You would benefit greatly placing a light under the trellis as well.

  4. I pull leaves anytime i think they need it. In veg or early flower or late flower .
You can pull them anytime you think it needs to be done . It will not stun hurt the plant one bit.
