I am just thinking about a money saving method: Like I just grow them in the natural sunlight(Since my belcony have pretty much sunlight,it's facing south). In 12/24 light cycle, I just cover it up with a card board box when it should be the lights-off-time. I'll be working at home for two months, and I have plenty of time to do the covering up thing... like set up a clock or something. Do you guys think that it might be a good idea?
sunlight definately works, youll just have to be pretty consistent with the coverings to have a stable plant
there is a great risk of light penetrating from the bottom. You would need to seal it to the ground with some good tape
What??? You mean during bloom? I'm assuming he's going to take them in and out. Personally, growing on ANY balcony would make me a bit nervous.
