Can I add nutrients to my Rez for a higher ppm?

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by Jtrjesse, Jun 21, 2017.

  1. My ppm is dropping quite fast and I just did a Rez change yesterday. My question is can I add a nutrients to my already mixed Rez to bump up my ppm? Or is this ill advised.

  2. What kind of nutrients are you using?

The reason I ask ... well here's an example I wouldn't pour some GH micro right into the already mixed up nutrient solution (the concentrated nitrogen can react badly with other nutrients causing lockout ) but I would add GH koolbloom directly in there ( not much if any nitrogen ) ..... a safer way to do this is to mix up a small batch of high ppm nutrient solution and add that to your Reservoir already mixed up so the concentrated nitrogen doesn't come in contact with the other nutrients....

  3. I am using GH. That's what I was thinking, Mix a strong batch and add it. I do have koolbloom but I want to get the nitrogen in too.
