I'm a home brewer as well as a gardener. My spent beer grains already go into my compost (or to my chickens). I have a recent batch that I over carbonated and need to dump. I haven't planted my garden beds yet and am wondering if this is something I should add in? Or just dump into the compost? Thanks!
I found this which seems to answer my questions. Commercial beer that were used don't contain alive yeast though... http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/printstory.php?rid=3715&bn=/articles/view/3715
Why would you dump over carbonated beer? Just pour it and let it go flat if its in bottles or adjust your regulator for the keg. But without a doubt do not add alcohol to your plants. You dont want yeast inside your soil either. Make a compost tea instead and itll do wonders for your raised bed. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
