Do you mean the skinny things growing out? Those are calyx development, and it has to do with sexual maturity. Do some research on your growing girl and learn what to expect. lst is good. Just gently tie each branch back in a way that spreads the plant out, lets light get to the bottom, and keeps all the tops roughly the same height. It's easier than the tutorials make it sound.
