I know I stunted the growth once or twice on these. It’s my first grow and I’m vegging under 300w blue CFL vegging bulbs, switching over to 600w HPS in the next 2 weeks. Very upset my buddy convinced me to do 5 gal pots with coco as it’s way too much watering for the size of the plants, I’m learning as I go. 2-3gal for my next ladies. They’re about 8 inches tall and I’m a little bummed about the height but it is my first grow and I’m thankful they’re still alive after the stress I’ve put them through. One was a bit more of an experiment than the other was just because it was a random seed in a shake bag. I know it looks rough but could anyone give me any advice as to whether they look decent and healthy? Also any chance someone could tell me how much bigger they think they will get once I switch them to flower and what they think I may be able to yield if I have a smooth flowering cycle? I have a PPM and PH meter finally so I know that all of my measurements are on point. 5.6-5.8PH, 700ppm as of my last feed. Appreciate any feedback but preferably none negative as it is my first
Yeah they look sound mate. Happy n healthy You’re right about the pots too, 3 gal is plenty for coco. If the waterings doing your tits in you can automate it for like £30. Big plastic tub with a lid, 20-30litre at least. Drill some drainage holes in the lid and sit plants on top of it. Get a recirc pump off amazon for £10, some scillicone tubing for £5 and a halo feeder ring for £5. Stick halo on plant pot, pump in the tub and connect the 2 with tubing. Plug pump into light timer which is also £10. set timer to go off for 15 minutes twice a day. no more watering. No more waste to deal with other than emptying the res once a week. Just fill the bucket and off you go Saves whole load of pissin about and cuts a massive amount off the nutes bill cos there’s almost no waste
They look pretty healthy. It can vary a lot for yield depending on genetics and environment so I'm not sure about that. There's also no need to cut large fan leaves off high up on a small plant. But depending on the strain it may do next to nothing or stretch 3 times its size. It's really strain and phenotype dependent so if you know the strain look it up.
Maxi grow and a little cal mag, my last feed was at 720 ppm around 680ppm was from maxi grow the last 40ppm of cal mag. Two plants under 300w CFL
