Can a plant flower more than once?

  1. After a mj plant has flowered, can you harvest and put the plant back into veg state?

  2. yes but it will stressher a bit...
cloning is a better option..but if it's already flowering then it will struggle to root and revert to veg, kinda double stress..
so clone before flowering, that's the idea...

  3. First this is my first grow (9 sour og), all the plants came from clones. I was just wondering if it was like outside when a tree grows. Each year it comes back bigger and produces more fruit. I'm guessing this isn't true for mj? Thanks for th info.

  4. na, when you cut it down, you cut it down... if you want continuous harvests look up the sea of green or scrog method... both involve keeping mothers and cloning in batches...

  5. You can reveg them if you leave enough to grow back, just back it back in a veggy cycle and feed veggy nutes again. They grow back wild and groovy, you can also take clones in flowering and reveg them but they take longer to root

Re-vegging is a common practice used to recreate a mother plant. Ive read posts online in which a plant was harvested to about a 4 inch nub with minimal lateral branching, then revegged. The revegged plant exhibited insane growth and lateral branching, far more developed then a seed or clone of equal age.

This may have been an isolated incident, but it seems a great way to create a stable mother to clone from. As far as reharvesting over and over...I'd be very interested to hear a more experienced opinion in the matter.

  7. Not to the extent you may think. The plant can be re vegged but as for flowering again, expect minimal yields. You should just use cuttings.

  8. Have you tried revegging? My revegged plants had just the same yeild, I would only advise revegging a large plant just once but some people have done more

  9. thunder is right on folk's...
like i said it can be done...
it does stress but is a common practice among grower's...
i myself have done this more than once but about the second time you do notice a decrease in yield but i have also had a few come back all wooohooo and stuff lol
kinda neat, something to try if you have never done it...
    might learn somethin..

  10. I guess I just suck at re vegging.

  11. try try again till you get it right...nothing wrong with mistakes that how we all learn bro...
it's a unique skill to gain, something just to have exp at i guess, kinda neat sometimes like thunder was saying..
    cheer's

  12. I was told that you can switch to 12/12 of light until you see signs of the plants sex, then switch back to 18/6 or 24/7 light to put it back into veg mode. Is this ok to do?

  13. ya but why? it just stresses the plant out...

  14. To find out the sex?

  15. best way to do that is just take a clone, root it, and sex the clone, this will allow you to determaine sex in about 2 week's or a hair more without stressing your plant..

  16. It's ok to do, but itll take weeks to see sex and revert it back to veg. 3 or 4 weeks.

  17. 7 to 14 days to reveal sex, and the from what I understand the plant continues to grow.

Re-vegging is highly possible. I have done it with one plant three times and taken clones from it. It is dependent on the strain/pheno as to how well it does. But I have increased my yield because I re-vegged after a harvest. The more buds you leave on the faster it will re-veg. With re-vegging once it starts to show it is vegging you can put it right back into flower shortening the time of the veg cycle. The key is to leave I think approx 10% of the bottom buds on the plant and prune the rest to each node. New leaves will grow out of the nodes and the buds. Sometimes you can harvest the remaining buds before they start vegging, but this takes precise timing. Yes Re-vegging stresses the plant but not to the point where it would hinder growth. The best way is try it out for your self. Just make sure you leave enough lower buds on the plant to give it a chance. Within two weeks you should see or be in full veg again.

Just my 2c. I am speaking from personal experience and do not discredit anyone who has different experience.

  19. I would rather know the plants sex before I take a cutting to clone...
