Can a cargiver grow with a card? WA

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by greenbowlpacker, Sep 20, 2012.

  1. Can a caregiver without a card grow if the card holder doesnt grow himself? This is in wa.

  2. You don't need a med card yourself but you need to have a license to grow/be a caregiver

  3. So if I stop growing and have listed caregiver grow for me he doesnt need his card?

  4. Green,

    I would suggest you read:

Chapter 69.51a RCW: Medical cannabis(formerly medical marijuana)

A Guide to Washington's Medical Marijuana Law | American Civil Liberties Union of Washington

    IMHO:
I have studied on this a fair bit and my best understanding is that an individual without a valid recommendation can be a designated caregiver for the holder of a valid recommendation. However, the caregiver CANNOT consume what they produce on behalf of the patient. Also, the caregiver must have an original copy of the recommendation an a signed statment designating them as that patients caregiver.

This is just my opinion based on my own reading. I suggest you read the law for yourself to make a more informed decision.

    Good Luck.

    James
