Campfire Recipes

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by afatflatcat, Jul 13, 2011.

  1. Since I don't have the luxury of being able to cook inside the house, I was wondering if there was anything I could make with weed over a campfire? We have one of those sandwich toaster things for camping. I think you're supposed to make grilled cheese with it?

  2. You should be able to. Just put a grate over the fire and put a pan on it. Then make cannabutter which you can use to make a lot of other things.

  3. Cannaburgers?

  4. I wouldn't risk it.

  5. There was a thread not too long ago about cannaburgers, so that might be worth a shot.

  6. Not sure this counts but I once ate some straight bud named fruity pebbles.looked like a Christmas tree. Even tasted like the cereal. I was actually relatively fucked up about an hour later.

  7. Well I guess my questions is can I make cannabutter or cannabis tea or something with the heat from a fire. I don't know how I could make it the rights temperature or would it not matter as long as its hot enough to release the THC?

  8. I haven't made edible before, but it takes a long time and you need to control the variables very closely.
Very risky with a camp fire, don't risk it.

Go to a friend's place, see if you can borrow a kitchen somewhere, where people wont be watching etc.

  9. With a large lobster pot, or other large pot of water, filled enough to cover a canning jar, you can make your oil by filling the jar with however much herb you have to work with, then just-covering the herb with olive, coconut, grapeseed or canola oil, and placing it in the pot of warm water to heat, at the edge of (not on) your fire. You want the water kept just at a pre-boil-temp, for two or so hours. Let it cool with the jar inside to prevent injuring yourself during removal, and to prevent possible temp shock from breaking the glass (if your outside it may be chilly.. depends what time of year it is), and remove the jar once cooled. You can either strain it into another container or jar using a clean t-shirt or cheesecloth, or use it as-is, if you must.

It's not quite as good as cookies or brownies, and it exposes the canna to higher heat at times, but if you bring some water, flour, sugar, an egg, a little baking soda and an old cookie sheet or metal pan, or other safe, flat metal surface, you can make canna pancakes with your oil, very easily in the wilderness... a little strawberry jam, and you've got yourself a nice medicated meal. :)

  10. Now that's a post I'm sure he was looking for, good work.
    Awesome.

  11. lol, thats called a placebo effect high. THC has to be activated by absorbing into fatty acids and fat cells or, obviously, smoked.
