hey blades, I've been getting into photography lately, and my sony cybershot isnt cutting it anymore. I'm looking to spend around 350, but most of the things I've been finding online are in the 1000's. I'm just lookin for a solid mid level camera. anyone have any suggestions?
get an old rebel xti... check out local pawnshops... they might have a 40 d or something like that on the cheap. If you don't want a big dslr then maybe a canon sx210 my gf has it and its pretty cool...its got a lot of features to it.
I've found 40D bodies only for around $400 on ebay. They were used really heavily though. Gotta watch the shutter count (especially with the 40D). My friend just picked up a Nikon D80 for $425 (including shipping) from Ebay a couple of weeks ago. It's a solid mid level. It's a couple of years old, but it as lightly used, and still packs a mean shot. So I'd recommend browsing ebay for a Nikon D80, Canon 30D/40D, or maybe an Olympus E series. However, if you want any kind of newer mid level model (D90/D200/D300 60D/5D/7D) you're going to be paying $1000+. Photography is an investment.
