    Hey guys,

i have tap water PH is around 7.2 they told me in a grow shop.
I ask if i should buy a ph meter but he reply to me that i can just put some calsium powder ontop of my soil and that that will lower the ph to a good ph level for my plants.
Do you guys have any experience with this?

  2. Soil tends to self moderate PH and 7.2 isn't very far off. I'd just use and see what happens. I use 8.5 PH city tap water and it works.

That ph isnt too bad.... personally I wouldnt top dress with calcium. Too much calcium will lock out other nutrients you will need for flower. But that is just my opinion

P.s. things like lime (calcium carbonate) will raise ph not lower it.
