Calling all smart people.

  1. OH! I see...

The reason you were asking for smart people's help was because you are not one yourself.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Be careful bro...the mods on this site will give u an infraction for sayign something like that.

Not saying this because u offended me. Im saying it because Some of the mods here take their jobs a bit too seriously. :D

    Back to topic:

What in that video makes u think its bubbles???

I mean, if u watch the video u will see the man actually touch and insert his hand into it.

If it was bubbles u would see residue left on his arm.

I figured this would be debunked by now...

  3. Ask God, not "smart" people.

  4. God told me it was a big floating mass of loose cotton batting.

You see it is like this...

My mother had never had sex with a man before she had me. I always wondered how that happened and why I always was hearing from God about stuff...

    ...until now!

Obviously, I am the second Jesus sent to earth to enlighten his children about the truth of the mysterious float white mass.

If thou shalt believe in mine words thou shalt achieve true enlightenment, go to heaven, and score dank weed.

  5. U cant really think thats cotton.

If u do then u didnt watch the video for more than 20 seconds.

If the best explanation that GC can come up with on this one is "cotton balls" I am gonna be really disappointed ... :(

  6. You are right it is NOT cotton.

It is Fiber Glass used for insolation.

Thats why everyone is hesitant to touch it...

  7. The guy didnt hesitate at all.

He walked right up to it, rolled his sleeve up, and fucked with it.

Did anyone watch the fuckin video for longer than 20 seconds!?!?!?

Doesnt matter fiber glass wont kill you

  9. Fibreglass usually hurts later, not right away.

Again, I'm not sure it's not some type of non-commercial aqueous film forming foam. The American military uses some pretty unique stuff, and have documented it prevailing in the environment for 4-6 weeks.

  10. it's a sheet of some insulating material..fiberglass or such, and it is being blown around and apart by the wind...

    DERP!

  11. Could u provide a video or picture of what u are talking about???

I have never seen anything like this in my life.

I want to know how to create this effect.

  12. I actually do business with USFS (United States Forrest Svc) everyday.

I sent this video to 2 FMO's (guys that know what the fuck they are talking about).

They have never used or seen anything like this used before.

Im just curious as to what it really is. I dont think its some alien residue or anything. I just want a credible answer..

Not "it looks like cotton.... so it must be cotton!"

With all-due respect, I remained unconvinced by your personal testimony.

The USFS only has approval on one type of FFF. That's one out of about 15.

  14. What are u not convinced of?

  15. The exhaustiveness of their conclusions.

Im exhausted trying to figure out exactly what u are implying.

Either way, u are free to think what u want. :D

U are saying this could possibly be a substance used in fire management. Thats what I took from u posting that link.

So I asked people that work in fire management if they have ever seen anything like this. They said no.

Can u show me a picture or video of this AFFF that is similar to what we see in this video??

All the foam products I see are very heavy and dont "float" at all.

    EDIT:

Here is a link with a picture of someone using AFFF.

U think that floating stuff in the video is what is pictured here??

  18. Interesting... not rly.

  19. cball: Im glad u posted those.

Which one of those videos would u say looks like the stuff in the video I posted?

I can honestly say that none of that foam looks identical to what u see in the original video.

I'm not implying anything. I'm making statements.

Had you considered trying to stop me ..... ?

Not exactly. You asked USFS FMOs, Unfortunately, the whole USDA only has approval to use one specific classification of FFF, out of about 15 in use by the federal government.

I am stating to you that I don't think you authorities can necessarily speak from an authoritative standpoint. I think your appeal to authority is invalid because I doubt the exhaustiveness of their experience.

    Thanks for the input.

Hey, check out this video I found.

It's USFS Firefighters using a type of FFF to create a fireline!

Check out the end of the video when he puts his hand into the foam. Looks a little different after the chemical reaction has produced a semi-stable product, instead of the initial expansion reaction, huh? (EDIT: 1:58 mark to be exact). What does that the the camera man say? "The wind would probably have it's way with this stuff".

It's weird that your FMO buddies would come to such a different conclusion. Go figure.
