  1. It seems somebody has been "fudging" the potency levels in their pre-rolls. :eek2:

Marijuana company sued for not making customers high enough

A California cannabis company is being sued by two local consumers for allegedly lying about the potency of its products.

Jasper Centeno of Long Beach and Blake Wilson of Fresno filed a lawsuit in state court last week accusing DreamFields Brands of false advertising, intentional misrepresentation and unjust enrichment, among other charges. "Consumers are willing to pay more for cannabis products with higher THC content, and expect to pay less for cannabis products with lower THC content," attorney Christin Cho, who is representing the plaintiffs, said in a statement.

At issue in the case is how much Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is contained in DreamFields' Jeeter pre-roll products. THC is the chemical found in cannabis that gives users a high.

DreamFields markets its products as having higher than average levels of THC, but an independent laboratory test found the pre-rolls do not have a higher concentration of the chemical, lawyers for Centeno and Wilson alleged. In one instance, a Jeeter product labeled as having a THC content of 46% was found to contain between 23% and 27%, the lawsuit states. (snipped)

  2. Really surprising, having smoked a few dozen Jeeters last couple years. Love them, super tasty, and didn't seem to be lacking on potency. There are a ton of fake Jeeters on the black market, but doubt that was the source of this lawsuit. Maybe I just got lucky and always got the good ones or something.

  3. @PotStrainsForBackPains 23% and 27% are still pretty potent! :GettingStoned: And it is well-known that growers "lab shop" to find the highest THC readings, and the labs lie to get return business!

But 47% THC by dry weight in a bud? (Not to mention there's other oily cannabinoids and terpenes.) It just seems a bit much. Think about it, hon - they were claiming that close to HALF of the dry bud's weight was pure, oily THC!

You really do need to have a certain amount of plant matter to make and contain the THC! I've often thought that the (actual) maximum percentage of buds would be in the mid 30%s. Look at a close-up photo of some really "frosty" buds. I think we've bred the trichomes that hold the THC about as big and close together as they can go!

  4. Jeeters' pre-rolls are concentrate infused. And mighty tasty too! Much much more potent than just bud, good stuff.

  5. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I prefer pipes topped with a little hash and edibles. Been a quite awhile since I smoked even a home-rolled joint, much less a pre-rolled!

  6. Sounds deee-licious to me granny!
