just germinated 7 bagseed and 2 from the attitude (dinafem critical+, lowryder 2).

    growbox dimensions:
    3.5ftx5ftx2ft=35 cubic feet

    veg lights: 8x 27w cfl + 3x 26w cfl = 294 cfl watts, 5500k daylight
    15,275 lumens

    plans for flowering: 7x 55w cfl(2700k) + 3x 26w cfl(5500k) = 489 cfl watts
    32,400 lumens

    refelctor insulation all around box.

    1x 5 inch exhaust fan

box is around 65-72F at lights off around 80-82F lights on

    ffof soil, tb, bb.

10inch wide pots about 9 inches deep

heres a pic of the box. added more insulation now temp is around 83-87F at the top of the pot. humidity is really dry at 35-40 how can i fix this without getting a humidifior?

    Attached Files:

  3. Increasing it is pretty easy. Once your plants get going, they are going to aspirate a lot of moisture, and your humidity will climb. Its all based on how much vegetation, air flow, and water you add. If your still needing some moisture after its going, try a bucket of water with a couple of blowing airstones (heating the water will make it work even better)... Or you can hang strips of cloth (cotton/nylon depends what works for you) from the ceiling with the ends hanging in a bucket of cold water, direct airflow from a fan to the strips of hanging wet cloth and your humidity will climb...I wouldnt do anything though until you got the begining of a forest in there:)

thank you that makes sense, because ill be watering the plants and spraying them.

do you think i will have enough lumens during my flowering to get a decent yield?

    32,400 lumens?

i know for my box i should have 3.5'x5'=17.5 squarefeet 17.5x3000 = 52,500 lumens. i want to have more towards 17.5x3500=61,250 lumens(hopefully i can but ill need a better timer mine only holds like 575 watts and i might as well just get an hps with how much money i would spend)

i am going to be using LST and putting my cfls as close as possible without burning

  6. One of the seeds from attitude germd, not sure which one friend gave them to me in one bag. Got it in fox farm ocean forest in a 10" wide pot thats 9" deep. Moistened soil with distilled water before putting seed into soil, now covered with bag to keep dampness in

  7. 6 of the bagseed germd and are now in the 16oz party cups. the seed from attitude is in a big pot. i may have killed the first seed already because i was high and tired and forgot i put it in soil and then had it sit 24 hours without light. the lights are about to get turned on for the first time on 18/6.

  8. 4 of the plants sprouted. the seed from attitude was one and 3 bagseeds in party cups. the ones in the cups are at about 82F and the one in the big pot are like 85F i moved the lights up a little bit hopefully it helps.

  9. the seedling from attitude(unsure what it is hoping its critical+

the 3 bagseeds in the party cups

  10. those lights look a bit high.. put a small four inch fan in there like this one
    http://www.air-n-water.com/photos/6262-2b.jpg

and have its airflow hitting those bulbs directly, it'll cool that place down. then you can put the lights lower.. the lights need to be lower..way lower. (within inches but it looks like you already knew this.)

  12. This is an awesome pic! Just saying.. :smoke:  :D

  13. lol thanks i thought so too.

    day 3

first feed with big bloom using half a table spoon in my gallon of distilled water

  14. i forgot to mention 2 of the other bagseeds sprouted so now there are 6 plants in the box with 294w of daylight cfls.

  15. so the lights are off and my box is 59-60F is this bad??

  16. day 4

seed from attitude, really thinking its the lowryder this was the first one planted and is pretty much the smallest. maybe its because its in a big pot? or maybe i pushed this seed farther into the ground than the others?[IMG]

  17. day 5
fed them again out of the gallon that has 1/2 tbsp. of big bloom b/c soil was dry and im going to use big bloom every feed for a while.

  18. day 8

i put a fan in the box yesterday. since then the box can be kept closed and stay around 82 with lights on. this made everything a lot smoother. i wish i could figure out how to make this box stealth. i want to make it look like an entertainment center or something. going to fix the light leak issues sometime this weekend by stapling up some dark garbage bags where the light is escaping. then i just need to lightproof my exhaust..

plants are looking healthy but i think one might be suffering from nute burn b/c ive been feeding them big bloom
