Calcium def. final week flowering

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Finz1975, Jul 13, 2017.

  1. I flushed my plants a week ago and today I have a major calcium deficiency with 1 week to go. This is my first grow so my question is do I do anything to help it or let it go and finish out the last week as is.

  2. where's the pics? and did you use plain water to flush?

  3. Yes I used my normal tap water that I let sit out to remove the chlorine.

  4. then there is your problem ...using plain water screws up the cation ratio to cannabis , essentially zeroing out everything, putting some elements below you want....ALWAYS from here on out when correcting a nutrients problem OR final flushing use 1/4 strength nutes. Doing it with 1/4 strength. makes the cation ratio go down ..BUT stop at 25% ...it also forces the plant to use what's there making the taste and burn ability to the weed the best it can be. I do a week at 1/4 strength. then 3 days at 1/10 Strength....then chop.....no water needed a the end.because with any luck the plant will have used the little bit that's in the 1/10 Strength solution...leaving ... just water ...and that is what a good flush does.

  5. Ok thank you so do you suggest I do a little dose of cal-mag or a very light feeding or nothing? Also how much flushing with the 25% nutes 1 gallon 2,3 etc.

  6. how big are the pots? LIGHT FEEDING is always better than only water ...water drops the cation ratios to zero ..creating more imbalance ...1/4 strength drops all the ratios back ...BUT they stop at 25 percent ...correcting all deficiencies..AND when it's time to flush..use 1/4 (2 times the size of the pot) (3 for a deficiency) 2 for flushing to get started ...then usually 1 gallon of 25% a day then like 3 days before chop time go-to like 1/10 Strength....if you did it right the plant will use up all of the food in the last 1/10 Strength solution..leaving...only water ..and that's what brings the real flavor out....
In fact the only time I use plain water is only to germinate seeds and for the 14 day seedling period...then feeding begins until I get to the 1/10 Strength solution. good luck keep us posted.
