Medical pot stores banned from unincorporated O.C. | county, ma - News - The Orange County Register Los Angeles County Bans Pot Shops In Unincorporated Areas - Los Angeles News - The Informer
How could they think closing legitimate MMJ dispenceries would help reduce crime? As if the million (MMJ registered) people in that area are going to stop smoking? Those people are obviously going to either go to the street to purchase, or use our already clogged up public transportation to go to a dispencery in another city. Stupid local politicians. 1 more step backwards, we as the MMJ community need to be more politically active, start voting on local level things. Shame on any Californian who didnt vote for 19, just make sure youre out there to what WILL be on the ballet in 2012, legalization.
Wow,they jsut keep narrowing it down more and more. Can't be within X amount of feet of a school or church and now banned in unincorporated areas. There are SO many schools and churches in L.A. and Orange county, probably one or the other if not both within every few blocks.I can somewhat understand being too close to a school,BUT a fuckin church?Really? That's ridiculous. "Sheriff's officials alleged that most dispensaries sell to the general public, thus, breaking state and federal law." Wow,that is absolutely absurd.I have NEVER been into a dispensary without having to show Drivers License,MMJ Card and/or Paper Doctor's recomendation. "Police say marijuana dispensaries are easy crime targets, because they handle large amounts of cash and drugs." And liquor stores don't get robbed on a daily basis? They handle cash(probably not as much as a mmj dipsensary)AND have drugs:Tobacco and Alcohol. Honestly, though with how corrupt government can be,I wouldn't be suprised if they were paid off to pass this ban by a local cartel.Maybe thats jsut the conspiracy theorist in me,but I really wouldn't be suprised.
