Ok so I got 10 seeds here that I just paid a nice chunk of change for. So basically I have 10 tries to get a female plant. However I dont want to waste my seeds. I dont want to plant one seed and wait MONTHS on end for it to veg and flower so that I know what sex it is. How do I make sore I will get a female. I know there is know way to determine what you will get from the seed but what would you do? If you had 10 seeds limited growing room and were short on cash. I have enough room to grow 2 C99 plants side by side right now. So should I just plant 2 seeds and hope at least one of them will be a female? Is that all I can do? If one of the two plants is a female should I clone her or wait until I grow a really good plant? Should I use my first female plant as a mother so that I will definently have some female plants or should I flower her next to a male plant? What do you all suggest I should do to get the fastest or best results. I dont wanna wait MONTHS and be disappointed I'm so impatient!
Well, waiting to reap the benefits is what growing is all about. You cant find out if its male or female from the seed. You have to wait until you flower, simple as that. The only reason I would leave a male and female together is if you were wanting seeds..
I would say germ 3-4 seeds, you'll probably have enough space to sex them, at which point you can reduce it down to 2 by either removing the males, or if its all females, pick the 2 that look the healthiest and best, and just ditch the other 2 or give them to a friend or something... At this point you can take a couple cuttings from each plant, and get them in an aerocloner, and as the plants continue to grow, notice which one has the traits you are looking for more, and keep those clones... etc and so forth, there's no need for you to make seeds from what I read.. Also how big is your growspace... Then when you have more space, if you don't have a pheno you already dig as the "mother plant" grow out the other seeds to see if you find something better...
Good idea. I think I will germ about 4 of the seeds. My bro will take the two I do not want. About the mother.... Could I get several clones from her and then get seeds from her? When it comes to the mother plant do the clones HAVE TO BE taken during the veg stage? I heard you couldn't take cutting from her after she start flowering. I'm not going for like a super high yeild of america or anything. I just need some good smoke just for myself. I am dying to try out the psycadelic high I have heard so much about from oh cindy 99. Any pointers?
yea.. u cant take clone from veg stage..... but remember to name each plant, and lable the clones with the same names.. like these u can sex the clones, and when u get a male, u just killed that clone and the mother of the clone...... if u want seeds, u need a male and a female..... if u want to a mother i sugest u do alot of training and topping.... read up in the guides floating around the city....
I really don't know why you'd want seeds when you can just take clones? Are you planning on doin some breedin or somethin?
