Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by sippin on drank, Jan 19, 2010.

  1. well, mom found my bowl...again, and well i guess now its over. I love weed but really right now it isnt worth it, She thought it was harmful, i told her its the burning of it which is carcinogenic shut her up, and well i have a plan for my future, when she was my age she didnt have a plan once again shut her up. Gonna show her the Union she didnt want to see it today. I also told her the real history of why it is illegal. My moms boyfriend says wrong its because the drug THC that gets you high, i go i know tetrahydracanibinol and you are wrong. Funny thing is he smokes too. But really right now it isnt worth doing. So im either gonna have to quit until im out of the house, or just do it a few times a year(both options fucking suck) but i just dont know what to do. She then tried to tell me im just like my father(whom left when i was 2 mind you, saw him like 5 times a year), passing the blame, so i went off at her and blah blah blah.

Sorry i really just needed to vent.

  2. My mom is against me smoking but that doesn't stop me. If she doesn't have time to watch a movie show her [IMG]

  3. Hate the just like your father card. I never have it pulled on me, but sometimes I feel its the elephant in the room, even though I despise the guy.

I think not smoking while you're under your mums roof is a good idea. Just wait until you move out.

    whats the union thing about?

  4. Its a weed documentary explaining why its actually illegal, and not harmful, good documentary heres the link.. The Union

  5. I always get the dad card pulled on me.
But I keep it green. My father did meth, heroin, anti-depressents, and alcohol.
So that is always my come-back.

Dont bother showing The Union, you are just digging yourself deeper... and she may think you are officially a full blown reefer madness gone crazy addict. Those opposed to MJ could careless that you can make rope and paper out of it. lol

Judge Gray is good on the ole legalization arguments.. but none of that matters to the parent worried about the kid smoking mj... its just not gonna work.

I vote,.. dont bring it up. You are an adult, but you dont need to be in their faces about it... so keep it on the downlow and go on about your business. I'm 40 and dont bring it up to mom and just side step that stuff. I definately dont tell her "yeah but mom you can make a rope out of it".

  13. What i didn't think you could get high off anti-depressants

  14. union is much more than making a rope...

and besides if shes willing to watch let her watch, even if she says its all bullshit she still heard both sides. I have never heard of any parent becoming more stringent after watching the union. Obviosly don't tie her in a chair with her eyes pinned open

  15. sounds like someone didnt finish the movie

  16. It really depends on the situation, you can't just give out information that doesn't apply to any and all situations. I can see my mom going for a good argument and be persuaded that, "hey, maybe weed isn't so bad". But that's just because of our relationship and that's the kind of person she is. Once someone sees and understands the light of a subject if they are a reasonable person, they can be persuaded, but the trick is presenting the information in a way they will believe and fully understand what you're trying to argue. I think he should go for it and if it fails, what harm is done? he has already thought about quitting for his parents' sake. Plus, his parents could learn something interesting in the process. :hello:

  17. Weed is a grade B drug.

They reclassified it, and when they did, of course they had to ask their scientific committee.

Who said that there was no evidence cannabis was harmful, and not worth putting up to a grade B.

So they changed it anyway, and fired Proffessor David Nutt.

The drugs classification system is a political tool, not for peoples protection.

You can't just judge the harm of drugs by their classification, unfortunately.
