Buying online

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by rich4ahobo, Oct 3, 2011.

  1. i've already tried to buy a bong online about a year ago from here. but it got confiscated while it was going through the mail. if i were to order another one, would the chances of it being taken be high?

  2. What country are you in? Shipping a clean bong isn't illegal is it?

  3. Legal in all the states I know of

  4. I mean, if its covered in pot leaf decals... paraphernalia right thurr

  5. A brand new bong is totally legal as long as there is no resin. You can walk down the street with a clean bong if you wanted to.

  6. Thats bs smoke shops sell bongs with MJ plant logos on them and they dont have cops cracking down on them for that. Its only illegal if its dirty with weed resin however this guy is obviously from another country because some countries dont allow bongs or any other tools at all.

  7. My brothers piece from GC got checked by customs. Still came.

  8. i live in the us, in wisconsin.

  9. no way it should have been confiscated then...

  10. Confiscated by your parents?

  11. Maybe it got lost in the mail and you didn't pay for insurance or something.

  12. What should happen and what does happen are not the same things, unfortunately. There are a lot of threads about purchases being confiscated/seized. U.S. customs does what it wants to, and there really is no recourse if they seize your purchase.

OP, if you got your stuff confiscated once, it'll probably happen again. I've ordered online and had no problems, but a friend ordered the same stuff and his was confiscated. We both live in Pittsburgh. It's just the luck of the draw, and the "hardassness" of the customs agent that inspects your package (that's what she said). I'd save your money and buy from a local headshop.

  13. Or buy from a different site, maybe one based closer to you for less chance of that happening. LHS would be safest though.

  14. There are federal laws against shipping glass. Dont you guys remember what happen to Tommy Chong???

    No what happened to chong

  16. I'm pretty sure it's legal.... as long as it's referred to as a "tobacco product".
And I don't think GS put's weed logos on their boxes. To my knowledge it's only BRIGHT ORANGE tape that says fragile.

    You sir, are dumb.

  18. Then perhaps instead of slinging insults you could inlighten me.

  19. I've ordered off of GC before, and they shipped it nice and clean. I'm sure it got checked but there is nothing they can do about it as long as there is no resin. I'm just sayin'

  20. Sorry, this is false. There is plenty they can do. "Water pipes" get seized every day, despite the argument that they are "for tobacco use" and are clean. Glad you got your orders, but not everyone is so lucky.

I'm not advocating or defending customs. I'm just tellin it like it is: your purchase can be seized.
