Buying 1/8s only?

I bought 1/8s almost exclusively for a long time when I was going paycheck to paycheck, it sucked. Not a complete rip off, but I am glad to be buying a bit more at a time these days!

The jam jars should work great as long as their seals are impermeable (does the rubber on the lid smell like jam after going through the dishwasher? If so, I wouldn't use it long term).

I like to have at least a month's worth on hand at any given time, but if your parents might swipe your stash if they find it maybe you are better off sticking to 1/8 at a time. Could you split a half oz with friends or something? That might save you a bit of money...

 

If an 1/8 lasts you that long I would definitely stick with that for now. The money you save probably won't be worth the inconvenience and possible drying out of your stash

 

Sorry for the long post, but Buying by the bulk is so much better. Let's look at the math at buying 1/8s. An 1/8 is 3.5g. If you were to buy 1 gram three times, that would be $60 at most ($20 a gram). The most expensive I found 1/8s to be were 60. If you spent all $60 at once, you would be getting an extra .5.

Let's also look 1/4s. 1/4s are 7 grams, and go usually for $85-100. Let's assume the worst and you dealer charges you $100. If you were to buy 7 grams, 1 G at a time at $20 a gram, that would be $140. You would save $40. So yes, buying in bulk and making it last is the best way to go. Other stoners say so, and so does the math.

PS~ Jam jars, ragu jars all work as a good substitute for mason jars., but really masonm jars are cheap as shit. Just get one, it's worth it. And if you worried about the shit drying out, tape a moist q-tip (wet, but NOT dripping) to the lid on the inside. Or throw an orange peel (watch it though, it will mold after a couple of days).

TLDR~ Yes, buy in bulk. Not by the gram.

 

I buy quarters and I have a similar problem. I'm running low on my stash right now but the last few nugs are always ridiculously dry. I keep em in an empty vitamin container so that's probably the reason why

 

My brother sells weed so I get weed for cheap...I pay 45 for an 8th compared to the usual 60

 

Buying any amount is a waste of money.

Yeh i agree. i am currently buying 1/8's cause of the tight money situatuion, but they seem to last me a week. An yeh you should probably just stick to an 1/8 if its keeping you packed for 2-3 weeks.

 

If I were you I'd stick with eighths if their lasting you 2 to 3 weeks and when you get some stuff that's better than what your used to then that's when I'd go for a 1/4 or 1/2 and preserve it.

The other option is to find people willing to go in on some with you, if you have several reliable enough friends, and a good connect then apply a little tax then your bags will pay for themselves. Just don't forget to smoke your friends out

 

I buy eighths only for $45 an eighth. I mostly get OG kushes from the collectives here.

There usually isn't a price cut for buying a quarter here and a like to smoke on fresh meds: a half ounce lasts me at least 2 weeks.

 

id keep buyin eighths if the last that long, but if you get a good deal, pick up the larger sac

 

If an 8th lasts you 2-3 weeks, then why not just keep buying 10 or 20 bags. I can go through a quarter in about 4 days. Not that thats a good thing but my tolerance is high.

 

i buy in 8ths and 1/4s almost exclusively. generally it will be more expensive to buy in lower amounts. i only do it because 1. i'm a starving college student haha 2. it takes me almost a month to go through an eighth and 3. my dealer is also a really close friend of mine so he hooks me up.

as for stashing, jam jars are the greatest thing on the planet next to mason jars. i've been using the same 3 jars for the past 2 years and they still work like new. keep a little shot glass about half full of baking soda next to your stash if it really reeks, baking soda absorbs a lot of scent.

 

Buying 8ths are good for your budget and stuation. That's what I like buying.
IvE got a dumbass friend that only buys g's cause he usually only has 10 at a time, and he doesn't want his parents to wonder where all his money goes if has has alot. He doesn't understand how much money he's wasting.
1 g a week fir 28 weeks=an ounce=$280
2 quarters, half O=an ounce=about $200
saves him $80 but he's dumb as shit

 

as long as they're not overpriced it sounds like you're doing the right thing

 

I only ever buy 8ths. I tend to smoke more with the more weed I have.

 

Amen to that I have had picked up qp's and hp's before and u tend to smoke and not realize how much you have used. Thats why i prefer to just get an 8th or quad at a time
