hey guys, i was wondering if you could help me diagnose my plants.

    1. crystal (northern lights crossed with white widow) clones
    2. hydro top drip recirculating setup
    3. medium - hydroton
    4. lighting - 1 4 bulb 4ft T5 (1 bloom bulb and 3 grow bulbs), 1 6 bulb 4ft T5 (1 bloom bulb and 5 grow bulbs)
    5. nutrients - General Hydroponics Flora Nova Series. I'm following the schedule at GH's website for simple recirculating setup.
    6. temp - high around 78 degrees Fahrenheit during the "day" and low around 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the "night"
    7. air circulation - right now air is circulated by central air, open door in the room and a fan.

12/17/2009. cloned from the mother plant using rooting cube, clonex, humidity dome, and 4 bulb 2ft T5 light.

12/29/2009. when roots showed through the cube i transplanted them into hydroton and started feeding them. 5 gallons of RO walmart culligan water, 12.5 ml of grow nutes, and then pH'd to 5.8 is what was in my rez which is GH's "Seedling" stage. from this point i have been topping my rez off with fresh RO water and then pH'ing the rez to 5.8

01/06/2010. i changed out my rez and filled back up with 5 gallons of RO walmart culligan water. 25 ml of grow nutes, 2.5 ml of GH's florolicious plus and pH'd it all to 5.8. GH calls this "mild growth"

01/09/2010: i also started some LST on these ladies as well.

01/11/2010: this is when i started to notice the burnt tips.

01/14/2010: i changed out my rez again and filled it back up with 5 gallons of RO walmart culligan water, 50 ml of grow nutes and 5ml of florolicious plus, and pH'd it to 5.8. GH calls this "growth"

01/25/2010: the plants are still getting bigger and i still have new growth on them, but still getting burnt tips on some of the fan leaves.

it's been 10 days since my last rez change and i'm due one.

does anybody have any suggestions that would explain why i'm getting these burnt tips? other than that the plants look good to me.

thanks for you help. let me know if you need any more information.

  3. lower the concentration of nutes by half the plants may not need that much yet slow and steady

  4. so, you're saying this is nute burn?

  5. I heard you are supposed to flush the Mother plant before cloning to reduce Nitrogen buildup in the new clones.Did you flush? They could be filled w/ nutes and only need water for a bit.Just a guess, Good Luck.

  6. hmm, i did not flush the mother before i cloned her. but these plants are over a month old now. would this still be affecting them?

    thanks

  7. after a month they should be pretty established. I would say this is just a slight case of nute burn.
