burnt hair

    ok, so i have a bowl thats about the size of a credit card in length. i like the little guy but lighting the bowl makes my hair start to have the ends burn. btw, my hair is about down to the bridge of my nose. is it the way im holding the lighter?

    heres a picture of how i hold it. no, this isnt my picture but its still funny.

    except i probably hold it more parallel.

    is there anything to prevent this somewhat? cause i dont want to burn my hair off. i tryed to tip the bowl but that made the flame want to leap out at my face.

    Part your hair to the sides and you can tilt your bowl down as long as the weed doesn't fall out.

    i did, but it still gets really hot around my face. almost to the point of burning.

    tilting the bowl down made the fire shoot up near my face.

    Not to be mean but are you mentally challeneged? It's not that hard to light a bowl dude, my friend has hair like you and he's fine. Just tilt it down and make sure your head isn't over the bowl, keep your head straight up

    Actually tilting it down doesn't help at all. My hair is pretty long these days and last week I did the same thing for the first time, i felt like a retard. The answer for my was to keep it parallel to the floor and keep your head held straight up. When I tilted my head down, my hair fell forward, which was bad. Just keep your head straight up and brush your hair to the side and you should be good.

    This used to happen to me when I had long hair, i'd singe the very tips of my hair while lighting the bowl.:D

    Not that hard to work around that man, just tilt your head upward while you toke.

    Keep your chin up, head back and hold the bowl part lower.
    Why can't you just move the hair out of your face?

    it seems like your problem isnt the bowl, it's not holding the lighter properly...

    speak of the devil. the other day i was using the hemp wick for the first time. i forgot where i was holding it and poof my hair caught on fire. im missing quarter my eye brow and my eye lashes were singed. worst experience ever. and of course i was using a WHITE LIGHTER!. just toke wtih a hat on backwards thats going to be my new mothod from now on
