    every year.

just thought i'd present a little cultural interchange.

Robert Burns is the most famous Scottish Poet ever. Has a day in honour of him.

typical customs for the night are:

    - reading some of his poetry.

    - eating Haggis*. (and clapshot**, but i recently discovered that's not widespread)

    - having a wee dram*****

so let it not be just a scottish celebration, see if u can find some haggis and potatoes, maybe a nice scotch (highland park, the macalan, laphroaig, for three examples), and look up some o auld rab's poems... maybe one you can understand. :D

(and mix in some herb with your haggis too!)

    * A wee beastie, rare to find, usually lurks in the moors, more comonly found where there are sheep. generally about the size of a baby's head. rumoured to be furred and feathered varieties. vegetarian haggis are also now available from shops.

    **Tatties*** & Neeps**** mashed together.

    ***Potatoes.

    **** Turnips.

    ***** drink of whisky.

...and if u managed to navigate your way through that to comprehension, i congradulate you and your reading skills.
