This is my first grow I have been supercropping and topped this plant with some good results thus far. The plant is still growing---I'm too much of a noob to know if its growing at a get rate or not but it is still growing. I started to get this weird bumpy texture / discoloration on some of the leaves about a week ago and now its verrrry slowly spreadibbg... I was leaning maybe towards some type of toxicity or deficiency but idk! Thank you guys so much. I wanna switch to 12/12 in about 2 weeks but I want to get everything kinked out first!
Hopefully pics upload in this post.. you may not be able to see it as much but it definitely doesn't look normal. There is also a verrrry slight look of clawing at the tips of some leaves but nothing major there
Also on this plant is this fan leaf that has slowly been succombing to whatever yellowing/browning this is.. this is the worst leaf on the plant keep in mind 99% of the plant is green besides this and maybe 2 other fan leafs that have verrrry slight yellowing along the tips of the plants
Looks like over watering and maybe nutrient burn. Give it a good flushing (5x the amount of water to the size of the pot). Then wait till she needs water again. I never water until the plant starts to droop, she will let you know when she needs water.
Cool thanks I transplanted this week and watered so the soil is still moist I am planning / hoping it will by dry enough by Monday or Tuesday (my weekend) so I can do the flush. I just checked on my other plant, the unknown indica that has been doing way better up until this point and now even some of her leaves are starting to look like that.. Should I use ph'd water for the flush or will r/o or distilled water be ok without a ph adjustment? Thank you!
Always do a PH adjustment if needed, watering or feeding. Don't wait to give it a flushing, esp. if its nutrient burn. Do it ASAP. If its just over watering a flushing won't hurt. I use tap water all the time, I let the water sit for at least 24 hours before using. I always keep 25 gal water ready to go.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I am using smart pots so and from what I've heard it's kind of hard to do some real damage by over-watering in fabric pots so I guess I'll be ok! I've been holding off on the bluelab even though i've been itching to get it but I guess I'm going to have to stop by the hydro shop today and pick it up . Now as far as using R/O water which I will be using, should I be adding calmag to this? I know you're not supposed to "flush" with nutes but I've been getting contradicting answers and since tap water has calmag in it I am left confused!
This is where my plants are at right now overall they are looking pretty good (I think). The new guy is a grapefruit diesel I picked up he was pretty yellow when I got her and she's starting to get some color back... its hard to tell when I'm peeping in on them every 20 minutes haha. I'm going to flush the little girl as well so I can hopefully get her on a good path from the beginning What should I ph the water to? Is 6.5 good Thank you guys!
