What is that white "looks like mud" covering roots?
It is seems like you removed 2-3 sets of leafs from your plants, may I ask why?

  3. I was hoping someone could tell me what that was over my roots. I had to squeez lemons because of a lack of PH down. Maybe it is the lemons? And yes i cut two sets off of two, they were discoloring. Probably was a mistake to just cut them off, but cant change that now!

  4. I have not seen anything like that before.... Sorry cant help. But speaking of discolored leafs, do not cut them, plant can use nutrients in the as well and you will get those leafs discolored if your nutrients and ph is out of balance. Do you have a PH meter?
P.S.I hope it work out for you.

  5. yes, i have a ph meter. i think it might not be working correctly tho. does anyone have a way to test them? its just one of those simple analogue testers

  6. Yes you can get calibration solution 7.01 or 4.01 ($10 on amazon). So if you place your meter in to one of those solutions and you get different readings it is means that your meter need calibration.... But I do not know if you can calibrate "economical" meters... I have hanna combo meter HI 98129 , I like it, it also adjusting it self to solution temperature( same solution under different temperature will show slightly different PH readings if meter is not automatically adjustable).

  7. So the room got to about 92 degrees and things are not looking good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Ouch sorry bro! :(
put a small dome over them to retain moisture until the roots develop more.
how are the roots looking anyways?

  9. I think they are done...
P.S. Do your self a favor and read more before germinating anymore seeds and do not remove any leafs in the future when plants are so young...
