Hello gc, quick question in reguards to building an nft setup. I'm also in need of a cloner and was just thinking. Would it be a smart idea to install sprayers beside each netpot and use the nft system itself as a cloner? I was thinking of having the main feed of nutes going into one end as normal. But having a vavle that I can chose to have either the sprayers going or the normal flow of nutrients. So essentially run the sprayers for the first say..2-3 weeks so the root mass has time to establish and then switch to the normal flowof 1-3 mm of nutrient film. If this is a stupid question or there is a thread like it already, please link me. Have a good day gc
This idea ain't 'new', many DWC guys get pissed having to trickle nute over there new established clones and often do as you suggest, at least until the roots are long enough to dangle in the soup. Bits and pieces for this, the tap, valve and tubing are sourced from home irrigation fixtures, just be sure you have filters or mesh inline, one issue with DWC is the blockages one can get...lol peace "V"
