building a grow closet

    so i decided to build a small flowering closet 4x4x6 out of 2x4 and mylar i have an idea in mind of what i want to do but also would love to hear some idea's b4 i build it.. and yes im a chick that builds things and grows weed LOL:smoke:

    Hi FL4M,
    I noticed that you are a pretty new GC citizen, I recommend before starting to build something, I would read as much as you can in here....Indoor Marijuana Growing - Grasscity.com Forums
    There is a subforum called micro grows in there and I would dive into there as well. My guess is one of the many ingenious creations that someone in the city did will probably strike a chord with you. There are a lot of ways to go! :)

    thank you so much.. ill have a look there.. i was thinking about making something like this using all 2x4 to make sure it can support the weight of the lights

    Soil or hydro? Cfl, led or mh/hps? Will you be using a cool tube? Are you going to scrog? Many things can change how your room will be.

    no grow op should change the construction of what a room is,,,,any room starts with a foundation,,after foundation comes framing,after framing comes electric,after electric,comes sheetrock,after sheetrock,comes sealing everything,after sealing it all comes paint,after paint let dry and then clean out with plenty of bleach and warm water..

    now lets hear your idea of what you want to do.

    im using soil for now.. eventually im gonna make bubble buckets.. using MH/HPS400watt its a magnetic ballast that is inside the the hood. i havent learned to much about scrog yet but in the future id like to experiment. this DIY tent/ closet will be for flowering only.. the room it will be in is a 10x12 bedroom ive made into a grow room.. also have 4 4ft fluro shop lights to use as secondary lighting.. by law im allowed to grow 12 plants so i need a big enough space for 12.. height isnt an issue i kinda want it about 6-7ft tall so i can raise the light pretty high if needed cuz i was told to keep the light atleast 1-2ft away so it wont burn plants..

    sorry i left out so much info the first time.. just really excited about making a new grow tent.:hello:

    well basically id like a 4x4x6 portable/moveable closet without spending hundreds on a grow tent from the stores. the one from the video i posted is ideal for me.. its small but big enough and it has wheels:D i would just copy that but was hoping to get some input from the more seasoned growers so i dont make any mistakes.. i only want to attempt this once lol the room in the video is good but the ventelation dont seem to be right.. theres only 1 fan in there.. just wanted some idea's on how to make it better but still keep the size of it and that basic idea on a tight budget... ive already spent hundreds on lights/ soil and nutes... i know it will be well worth it in the end. im growing for medical reason for myself so im not gonna be making any money on these grows.. just hoping to save some in the long run
