yeah deffinetly i have that box i posted the blueprints for i built it cost me less than 100$ the only expensive thing is gonna be the led light didnt get that yet i hve 11 cfls in there its pretty hot high 80s but i dont have any intakes yet and theres 6 plants in it. and a diy box is better than buying one imo you create the dimensions and everything way cheaper as well

  2. You need an intake and an exhasut. Temps that high without extra CO2 will make fluffy and airy buds and maybe even stunt growth. Make the exhaust at light level so the hottest air can flow out. Make the intake low on the box so cooler air can come in. I expect those temps to drop maybe 5-10 degrees.;)

i dont have anything to cut an intake with lol thts why i havent done it yet but ive been just opening my cab door so i think thats been helping its a pretty big door too.

i think my one plant might be an autoflower b/c i got 2 seeds a friend gVe me from attitude one was alow ryder 2 and one was dinafem critical+ its only day 5 but the one that i was hoping is the dinafem critical+ was the first to sprout and is staying the smallest out of all the bagseeds so i may have to add the veg chamber sooner than i wanted too b/c of the light cycles

  4. You really wouldn't know unless they start flowering and you're giving them 24/0, 20/4 or 18/6 light...not 12/12..

  5. I bought a mini hand saw, it's in my grow. I drilled tons of holes and cut the hole by hand. These saws are also used for drywall.

  6. Or you can also use a power drill with a big enough head attachment to make holes :)

  7. Here's some pics of my diy grow cabinet.

  10. made this today, open for suggestions. :)

  11. A hole saw is the best way to cut a perfect circle. They are sold at Lowes and attach just like a drill bit would.

  12. Dude hole cutters for the drill cost money.

I went to Home Depot. A 2" will fit on a reg drill. You need an adapter for 4" and bigger. Would have cost me $40. Get a hole saw for $12 and drill lots of holes around in a circle. Then cut it out.

  13. Great thread guys. The cabinet designs are spot on. One question, the computer fan with carbon filter fabric over it, i'm guessing that works exactly the same way as a carbon filter?

Yeah pretty much. There is always the option of buying a small inline fan with a bigger filter (if needed)

  15. hey omdogg i need some ideas how to make an adjustable shelf in my grow box that doesnt take up to much side space. id rather raise my plants and led to the exhaust so the heats alright there to be exhausted just to make it more efficient and i dont like raising my led

  16. Well, you can do what they do on book shelves. You know, where they drill holes on the inside of the cabinet and put in metal shelf holders that go into the holes. Have at least 2 holders on each side of the perpendicular shelf and have multiple places where you do this...so you just simply need to change the location of the holders and put the shelf on top of them. Know what I mean? ;)

then drill it in and set some kinda board down.

+rep but i need to spread it around more...

  18. That could work too, but this is what I mean. :)

How to Install Book Shelves | eHow.com

He calls them "shelf pins"...they're pretty much used in every bookshelf I have in my home. Of course depending on how heavy you're putting on the shelf, you'll want maybe 4 or more of these to hold the weight.

  19. You can get a jig saw for $20 or less.

  20. This is a great thread! Things get complex when you are working with a dozen strains, using 3 different brands of nutrients... My op has taken a great fall and am ready to narrow it down to a small cab... Really enjoyed watching the videos today, even with most of the knowledge already known, every little trick helps... Like folding the aluminum tape for corners, Fuckin awesome!

Some of us build little things, and some of us build massive things, some of us just can't stop building... This will be my 4th grow build in the last 2 years, all your plans are inspirational!
