Yep... Took me almost 2yrs to setup my grow room... You'll get there, just make sure ya don't cut corners, and I tell ya right now, they'll bug you as long as you grow.. LOL
Yeah no cutting corners for me this time lol I'm doing it how I want! Last time was me and my brother and a friend 3 diff people with their own views, own ways of wanting to do things and we just a half ass shafted together room in an upstairs hot hot hot room in a house without central air even lol it was a disaster before it even started
What's up everyone? Quick update got all the drywall up out the outside, electrical ran but not hooked up yet and started on the ceiling
Hey thanks man I'm trying to get it done lol first time ever framing, hanging drywall but I'm good with tools and have common sense so it's getting there lol
Yes sir that little room will be a breeze now that all the insulation is in and the ceilings are done, then just to mud and paint hang the doors and start hanging equipment wooohoooo
Nice progress on the room. I'm moving soon so I want to look into having my own room just for growing.
Thanks guys literally my first time doing most of this just a little research and the right tools and motivation I've had a little help here and there but for the most part has mostly been a few hours here and a few hours there...
Definitely dedicate a room just for growing. My wife and I just bought a house and I claimed the extra bedroom for my grow room. It's great to have everything in the room. I can lock the door and not worry about a guest stumbling upon my grow. Even if you just put a tent in the room (that's what I did) you'll still benefit from having a dedicated grow room.
That's awesome not to mention I want complete control of my environment that's the main reason I went all in if I'm going to do it I'm going to do it right and not half ass it
Environmental control is the main reason I got a tent. We'd just bought the house and didn't have the extra money to modify the room. What you're doing is awesome, building it from scratch basically. You can add those cool extras like a vapor barrier. Someday hopefully I'll be able to modify the actual room and use more of the space available. Until then I'll probably just get another tent or 2. Actually, now that I think about it, converting the room to 2 or 3 separate spaces so that I can get a perpetual grow going might be more trouble than it's worth compared to just using tents. Hmmm.... I guess I'll have to think about it some more.
Hey whatever works for you right I would be doing tents to if I hadn't had the opportunity I did, I actually didn't vapor barrier the whole room just the long wall on the cement wall side. But I will be spray foaming and caulking the opens spaces cracks where the wires come in etc
A little more progress made today got some mudding done before work also shaved off some excess spray foam that I used to seal around the electrical receptacle before work, Tomorrow I'll have the mudding done then painting Monday. Ohhhh and a lot of my ordered items will arrive tomorrow
