This morning when I watered my plants I noticed small white bugs coming to the surface, so after some reasearch I think they are Symphilids. What is the best way to get rid of these bugs ?? I am just feeding the plants plain water as I am flushing them as harvest is less then 2 weeks away. So I dont want to spend alot on something as I only notice them in the one pot, but I want to get rid of them, I am not leaving them no matter what. Now my buddy said some ivory soap and water will take care of it, but im really not sure what to do or buy ? Can someone shed some light on what to do ? Thanks,
I used dish soap on aphids and t workede well; a few drops per gallon I think. Iy should not hurt your plant, but be suer to wash it off before harvest. Good luck
I took a sample of my soil into the hydroponics store that I baught it from, and showed the owner what I had going on, he sold me some stuffed called MM2000 from Grotek, http://www.grotek.net/products/guide/product.asp?code=mm2000 he says this stuff should get rid of these pest, he said it will get rid of a variety of stuff, cause it has some oils and stuff in it that the bugs dont like, I did some research and couldnt find anything to back up his words, so I will try it out and see what happens, if I dont get any results, I am never going back to this guy, I think he is the kind of person who thinks he knows everything.. ?!??! I dunno though... I am going to go take a few more samples and try it with some soap and a high concentrat of this mm2000 and see what works better on the samples, and then I may decide what to actually feed the plants. What a bummer especially since I am just in the water phase, my harvest is less then 2 weeks away.
