Just harvested a Vanilla Kush plant (2.5 oz dry) and I saw some seeds in the jars that they are curing in. Considering these were Female seeds from Barney's, I was quite perplexed. can anyone help me out here? And are these seeds good to plant? Thnx
It could be due to a light leak, if your grow room is not 100% light proof then you will end up hermieing your plant. If it is a hermie due to stress, light, or being left to flower for too long then the seeds may very well be feminized seeds and great for planting. If the plant hermied because of genetics then I would not plant the seeds as they will most likely produce other hermies so I would not plant them.
Did you have more than one plant? Were any of them female, or hermie? ANY seed is good to plant. The only way to see if it is a valuable seed is to grow it out. Good luck!
yeah fem seeds "can" hermie sometimes do to enviromental factors or even alot of the time just genetics from how they make the fem seeds.there is nothing wrong with fem seeds at all bud im kind of against them.im into breeding and preserving genetics though so fem's just kinda wash it up.but look into light leaks and has it been stressed from nutes or anything like that?like square said,if you wait to long sometimes they will herm to.i stretch all my buds out for max cbd's and what not so it depends on how you like them. good growin man
Thank You Very Much (always good advice here) I am not sure the exact cause, I had three other plants in the room (Cataract Kush, Sour Kush, and Super Lemon Haze) none of the others seem to have seeds. But I guess I got a Hermie. At first I was kinda pissed cause I had to clean my bud...........................But then I read that the seeds are most likely to be either hermie or FEMALE!!! And that was my last seed. ADVANTAGE ME I wont be ordering from Attitude for some time. Thanks again.
