I have a couple of plants, probably a skunk or super skunk, and they are perfectly healthy and about midway through flowering. The top buds on several branches and the surrounding leaves are starting to turn a gold color. Overnight entire buds and the surrounding baby leaves have turned a light gold. The color is close to that of a matured calyx or a rusty gold. Is this normal? I want to think yes but it is very strange to me that they are just now changing color and that it is only a few buds, all near the top. Is this just maturation? First time grower here. I may post pictures if I get over the paranoia.
yes i want to say maturation.. probally the trichomes turning amber .. not sure though pics would be nice .
Jabba, it sounds like Botrytis mold. If those bud tops are turning gold, brown, rusty or whatever you need to remove the affected area immediatley. It's likely you'll find a worm huddles up in there as well. The feces of the worm facilitates the growth of botrytis.
