buds turning gold

I have a couple of plants, probably a skunk or super skunk, and they are perfectly healthy and about midway through flowering. The top buds on several branches and the surrounding leaves are starting to turn a gold color. Overnight entire buds and the surrounding baby leaves have turned a light gold. The color is close to that of a matured calyx or a rusty gold.
Is this normal? I want to think yes but it is very strange to me that they are just now changing color and that it is only a few buds, all near the top. Is this just maturation? First time grower here.

I may post pictures if I get over the paranoia.
