To start off I have smoked mid grade most of the 20+ years that I've been smokin herb. Only in the past year or so have I been able to get high end smoke from time to time. I've never found any seeds in high end herb til last year I found 2 in a bag of purple haze. I decided to give growing a try after all these years of hunting down shady people an then only to spam phone calls trying to get whatever they could get or driving all over town looking for it.

    • I started a seed in a paper towel wet with distilled water, folded it over an put in a ziplock bag at room temp in a dark place. 3 days later it sprouted an I planted in a 2" rockwool cube that I had soaked overnite in Ph 5.8 R.O. water and technaflora's SugarDaddy,Root 66 1/4 strength. Put in a planter dome an under a cfl for 2 weeks.
    • Put her in a 5 gal. BB w/2 6" air stones an a 50gph fountain pump to top feed. Light is a 2' HTG T5 with 6500k bulbs an got them on her 18/6 timer. I started her on 1/4 strength B.C. Boost,B.C. Grow,Thrive Alive B-1 Red,MagiCal, & SugarDaddy.
    • I kept her in veg stage for 3 months because at the time I had my 1st test grow going an was still learning more about stretch, flower times, harvest etc.
    • After a successful test grow harvest I was ready to take a clone for sexing from my purple haze. I took 1 clone cutting an used Roottech Cloning Gel an put into a rockwool cube presoaked the nite before in Ph 5.8 R.O. water an 1/4 strength Thrive Alive B-1 Red. After putting cutting in cube I sprayed leaves with full strength Thrive Alive B-1 Green an watered cube with 1/4 strength SugarDaddy,Root 66. Only took 7 days to grow roots thru the cube and ready for the BB. This was suppost to be a sexing clone to determine sex of my purple haze so it went into the BB and put on a 12/12 light timer under a 2' HTG T5 and 2- 42w CFL 2700k bulbs. Clone was 6" tall at this point. Once in BB it went on 1/4 strength B.C.Boost,B.C.Bloom,Awesome Blossoms,Thrive Alive B-1 Red,MagiCal,SugarDaddy. After 7 days in flower she showed her true sexyness(CongoRats) it's a girl :D Most growers discard these sexing clones cause of their small size an small harvest. I thought, well I have to take new cuttings for my grow now an veg them, top them an veg somemore before I need the space that my sexing clone was in. The sexing clone was nice an healthy with a strong thick stalk so I'll just let it go an see what my harvest time is going to be since these are all off the same Mum (cut down on some guess work when it comes to harvest time).
    • After 3 weeks at 1/4 strength nuts I upped it to 1/2 strength nuts and trimmed off all the fan leaves accept for the top 2 nodes on all the bud sites. At 5 weeks into flower I upped nuts to full strength an started checking tricones. At 6 weeks she was turning hairs red FAST so I started my flush. At 7 weeks she was ready to harvest. She was 6" tall when I put her into flower an now she finished out at 18" tall an after dry/cure she gave me 50 grams of pure bud. Pics of Mum an sexing clone before harvest.

I took 4 clones from Mum an had 3 take root after 7 days. Put them in BBs on 1/2 strength nuts, 18/6 light timer, and on the 4 th day I topped all 3 clones. They are under 3- 4' shop lights veg stage until they hit 12" tall.
P.S. Just wanted to add that dates on pics are correct.

  8. shit bro , dont flower it for 7 weeks
if your's is purple haze it needs at least 11 weeks
    its a sativa

  9. I'm guessing that it's not purple haze then if what you say is correct. This is my 2nd grow off same mother an trichs start turning amber at 6 weeks after 12/12 light change. Here are some updated pics. Middle plant I tried adding molasses, 1tbl to 2 gal. but as you can see from pics she didn't like it at ALL :( Flushed with 5.80ph RO water then 1/2 str nuts. hope she pulls thru. On a lighter note her other 2 sisters are doing great :D I did get 1 small popcorn bud that is oddish looking pics below. Thanks for taking a look.

  10. Update: 5 weeks since 12/12 flowering cycle switch. Been on 100% str nuts since 12/12 switch temps are very consistant 80 f high and 68 f low.
Defoil. plant buds are still slightly smaller but too close to tell, final weight will have to tell.
Had to add a brace for 1 stem on the sister as buds are bulking up on both plants.
P.S. I couldn't do anything without my wife as she does most the behind the curtain work and input. Thank You Babe ;)

  12. Unsulphured molasses but it wasn't used on the 2 plants picured, that was used on a middle plant that died 2 days after adding. It was early but it still has a nice high.

Ok I got leafy flushing an took some Mum pics with a lil bud porn :D Trichomes are mostly creamy with hints of amber......there's a few with redish purple veins in the stem.
I keep Mum on 1/4 str nuts and light cycle is 18/6 always.
P.S. Yes she split that lid on her own

  19. Ok, so here is a lesson learned for us all. Your mum is 1 yr old and you keep her healthy with 1/4 strength nutes. Appearance wise she looks as healthy as a young lass should. Nice!

Over nuting... it's one of the major causes of "chasing the chicken" in a grow.

  20. Update: Trichomes turned fast this go, mostly all cloudy an maybe 3% amber (this is the high we like). Snapped a few pics before final dark cycle, will be cutting down in the morning.
All branches are hanging very low now that buds are heavy an coated in fairydust :D
