Bud Turns Purple When Burned?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Whiteweedz, Jun 3, 2013.

  1. Hi, first post. Been referencing this site for the past... At least 6 years, always has an answer to my problem. Until now.
I've been grabbing from the same guy for almost 2 years now, always had, n always had crazy good bud, So I didn't ever want to stray off. Just yesterday I grabbed some what I was told Is AK. I'd add a picture but I'm unaware how.
Anyways, I've been smokin it in bongs no noticable problem whatsoever I was lovin it. when I smoked a blunt this morning, I put out the blunt halfway cuz I was runnin late for work. When it was out, I looked at the top where it was burning, and the half burned herb was half black(burned) and the other half was a metallic blue-ish purple color, the kind of color you see in a Parkin lot when someone's oil or gas leaked. Is that normal? Like I said I highly doubt my guys doin anything to it, because since I've known him, every time I have grabbed, it wasn't even 0.1g short. And I've been baking, makin bubble hash, tinctures. And I've never noticed any sort of contaminants. Anyone know if my weeds fucked? I really hope I'm not smokin gasoline....

  2. If you were smoking something bad in it you would most likely smell it. It might be from the blunt paper. Pack a bong hit, burn it but leave a little green and see if it looks the same.

  3. just sounds like some of the green burned so it is appearing to be purple

  4. Yeah tried bongs and I can't see the color. And to clarify its more of a blue hue. Shiny, definitely not how it should look. I don't mean it looks lik a purple strain.. I mean lik what wasn't black, turned into this blue silver almost glowing hybrid color.

  5. upload the pic on your computer, upload it to tinypic.com or a similar website, make it to fit properly for msg boards, and then paste the link into the text box.

  6. Dark color in bud like purple is lack of oxygen in the bud.

  7. Also I have a belief that if you let a half smoked bowl sit by itself for too long, it cashes itself

  8. Maybe the plants not been flushed properly before harvest?

I've had weed that did similar stuff, I was told it was incorrectly flushed. Was the ash dark grey or black and did it form a hard trail of ash at the end of the blunt instead of easily falling off like normal.

Yea but I think he means when he stars burning it it turns purple/blue slightly?

Actually I meant to quote your other comment there bro, the one that referred to the lack of oxygen

  10. Like I said, I've been smokin for over 6 years. I know what purple chronic looks like. And that's not the hue I am explaining. The bud I am using is 100% green, with a few purple veins throughout.
I tried for an hour to take a picture but the colors not showin up on my camera.
Shroomkid-- that was my first thought, but it had no taste no smell, and iv had stuff that is still full of nutes, and I didn't notice a change in color. And yes I have been able to grab the ash "stump" off the blunt but it would almost instantly disintegrate. Also the centre of the ashes was a light brown color and looked almost fuzzy.
I'm thinking maybe some type of fibers had made it into my Phili n caused some sort of reaction?

  11. This!

  12. That's definitely not normal man. I don't know what's on your buds, but I would throw that shit in the garbage if I were you.

  13. So it's been a while, this hasn't happened again, n I've been lookin closely ever since. I'm guessing some fuzz or something got in my blunt. Only thing I could think of..
