I only cut down a few branches at a time so I can trim before they start to wilt. Everything is standing tall and proud and is easy to trim. BNW
I take all the fan leaves & a lot of the larger easy to get at smaller leaves, it's easier for me to hand trim green then dry. Once dry they get a quickie & I want to get them in glass jars ASAP, a final trim maybe after cured. I kinda like a bit of leaf in a big joint, I feel it burns better???????
Isnt really a right or wrong way to do it. Lotta people dry to fast when they wet trim. The sugar leaf curled around the buds can provide a good buffer to slow down drying. Personally it take off all the big fan leaves and pretty much any fan leaves that i can cut off at the base of the leaf and then dry trim the sugar leaf. The way i do it, i can trim the sugar leaf pretty much whenever i want; I dont have to do all the trimming at once at harvest time. Much more tolerable trimming over a span of a week or two than all in one or two days.
Haven't tried wet trim yet but from research it's a preference thing I personally dry trim the more smaller leaves and sugar leaves help in maintaining a slow dry happy growing Sent from my SM-G781U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
In my opinion theres two pretty simple ways to look at it. If you wet trim, its really easy to trim and you will end up with that "high times cover picture" flower. If you dry trim, the buds will dry slower and better overall but it is hard to get a good "manicure" on the flowers and they usually just dont look as good.
