Bud Rot?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Xenocryst, Aug 19, 2018.

  1. 7 weeks into flower. About a week ago I sprayed with rosemary oil to combat mites but stupidly did so while the lights were on and got some light burn, after that a few buds started turning brown. I've cut the brown buds and have dissected them open. Do you all think this is bud rot? If so should I be taking steps other than removing buds? I'm also including a photo of a part of the bud that is very green for comparison.

  5. As storz said you have bud rot, so if it was me, I would be chopping and drying at 58% RH or lower and a temperature above 74F to keep the rot from spreading. Then once it has a few days to semi dry, get a magnifying glass and go through all the cuts and toss out any buds that show any signs of bud rot. But remember this... and work on fixing your environment, (maintain a good bio-directional airflow [you need at least 3 small fans at a minimum], don't allow the night time temperature to fall below 20c/68f if your RH could get higher than 60%, etc, etc), so you won't ever have to deal with that sort of thing again.

  6. You would harvest the whole tent now even though its about a week or two early to prevent the spread is what you're saying?
