So i been searchin but my eyes are hurting and i still havent found it.. but people use trimmings, leaves, and buds to make hash..Now for the buds..lets say thats all you are using..do you use a grinder to chop it up or....? cuz im afraid touching it will def lose thc and idk if the grinder will lessen it as well.. also does anyone kno the ratio of starting product weight to hash finish weight or does that just all depend on how potent it is?

okay your right..about quality info. thats mybad lol but goin through 40 pages..i couldnt find the answer to buds. If i use a grinder with 4 ..all the kief will go to the bottom..and then ill have powdery buds. when its in this stage do i still screen the grinded up bud? Or are you suggesting me just to use my fingers andd break it into the smallest pieces i can and then start breaking it up by hand rub thing
Well it depends what type of hash your going for, if your just making some kief hash(compressed) then yes grind it up and use a silk screen or your grinder. your being rather blunt with your questions. I'm not sure what method hash production you wanna use.Ask your questions in that thread and they will get answered for you by people with more hash knowledge. cheers hope ya make some sticky shit
Im assuming you have a separate screen for dry rubbing yes? If so freeze your buds, place in grinder and grind upside down over your screen and let it just fall out, eliminating kief from going to the grinder screen. then just move around for 30 seconds or so with credit card/ hand. DO NOT PRESS HARD, it will push plant matter through and the kief wont be as pure.
