Hey i am using the little walmart airstones for my bubble buckets but every time I have to change my res, i have to take off the airstone to pull the airline through a small hole. Whenever I go to take off the stone, about half of them will break in half in my hands. This isnt realy a huge problem as they are cheap but it is kind of annoying having so many airstones laying around just in case. Does anyone here use the air stips or anything else with success? Also, what kind of air pumps are you using? I am using the small dome shaped single output "silence" walmart pumps and Im wondering, since I am using four right now, is there somethign more efficient or quieter? Thank everyone.
As long as the pumps are isolated they are usually pretty quiet. If they are touching anything then they seem noisy. Walmart should have the green wand looking NO Clogg air bubblers. The stones will crumble.
