Bubbler Resin Safety When Cleaning

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by Overpello, Aug 12, 2014.

  1. Hello I am new to this forum. I have came here before for advice on certain topics. I recently soaked my bubbler in isopropyl alcohol. emptied it, dried it and rinsed it in warm water for 7-9 minutes. I did not successfully get all the resin out. There is still resin on the inside of the bubbler. This res might contain rubbing alcohol I don't know for sure. Now my bubbler has been sitting on my desk. Is it safe to smoke out of? There is no resin in the bowl or downpipe. I don't have more rubbing alcohol. So I don't know of how to get the rest out. I should have use a plastic bag. I didn't know you could use a bag.

If anybody needs more info or another pic please say so.

  2. I would give it a full 24 hours before smoking out of it if there might be alcohol in the resin just cause that sounds icky, or you could just rinse it with super hot water

  3. use alcohol and salt, you should be able to get that off.. if not soak it over night in alcohol

  4. Rinse it until the res is gone or just rinse it? Cause the only thing that should have alcohol is the resin. And I don't plan on smoking it.

Put some more alcy up in that bitch, put some coarse salt, like sea salt, in the bubbler along with the alcy, and shake for 1 minute. After that, instantly rinse out with hot water for 5 minutes, and it's good to call safe. You're diluting the isopropyl that (you assume) is in there with water, therefore making it safe. And really, you could fill your bubbler with isopropyl alcohol, and still safely hit it as long as you don't drink it.
