Im impressed by the quality of this photo as all of these photos from off my phone :O

It's a few hours later and i just had another look, and all 5 have germinated successfully :)

Iv put the plants just outside the light, as I didnt want it to be too intense for them at first:

Moved the strongest plant into a bigger pot today:

Continuing the LST. The plan is to spiral the pot:

Am going away for a couple days so gonna give her some nice watering

They were looking a bit wilted when I got back, but they have responded well to being watered.

I am continuing the low stress training:

Not sure what to do with the other plants:

Might do some experimenting on them

  2. I was going to transplant from soil to aeroponic.. but apparently this is a really bad idea..

Would I be better to grow them in soil for a bit then take cuttings and clone them into the aeroponics?

The main pros I can think of are: safer and less stressful for my babies, and I will be able to take more than 5 clones.

    Cons: Extra time

Is it difficult to order seeds in america?!

I just buy em on www.grasscity.com and a few days later they arrive :p

I did buy seeds once before but they got snatched by the police at about a week old.

    Such a waste of life.

  7. P.s. do you know if I should transplant into the aeroponics from soil, or spend a little extra time getting some growth in the soil then cloning them into the aeroponics?

  8. i am not sure cause i am 100% soil growing. but i will send you an invitation to my social club where you can ask some friends of mine. it will show up in your user cp:smoking:

  9. Those spray nozzels I have spray the water at quite a low angle, almost flat... should I position them quite high up, for example at around the level of the base of the net pots, so the roots will be sprayed? I may also invest in a fogger - good idea?

  10. You don't really want to go from soil to hydro cause the soil can cause parts to clog and no longer work. This is vital in a hydro grow. I have done it once but I made sure the soil was off. They were only two weeks old, so not a whole lot of roots to clean off. Just some input...

Good luck on the grow man! Got a good start so far.

  11. Cool cool I think I will just see how it goes for the moment in regards to transplanting them or not. They are still hiding in te soil at the moment. I dont really know how much water I should be giving them.

I think I am going to add a fogger and also an air pump w/ air stones. That way if any of the methods go wrong, I have a backup plan :p

  12. Heres a question :p

Can I have both an air pump/air stone and also a water pump/sprinkler system?

The reason I ask is that im not sure whether the extra air in the water would disrupt the water flow through the sprinklers?

  13. Well with the air stone, you have them in water with air coming through them. So you would need to set the sprinklers up higher than the water. Plus there will be water being pumped through hose through the sprinklers. Two separate setups going. I use a bubble bucket setup, which is air stones and it works amazing. My cloner is a sprinkler and man that works amazing as well. Can't go wrong with a good hydro system.

  14. I was thinking of going for a hybrid :p and throwing a fogger in there too. I think if I position the air stone on the opposite side of the pump than the side which takes the water in... I dont think that will cause a problem? Iv just updated my main post with a design (at the end). Nothing to scale, just concept.

  15. Looking good, I'm subscribed.

  16. Thanks for the interest handaman ;D

Hopfully i'll get a good post tomorrow and get really get going with it. I just put design diagram at end of the journal.

  17. Am I able to install an ultra-sonic fogger horizontally, on the side of the bucket? ..or does it need to face the surface to work?

  18. I've never used a fogger, but I think that it would work as it produces the fog from the water it is in-taking. The fog should fill the volume that is in around your roots in the hydro system (above the water line). But it is very possible that I am wrong.

How many different parts are you going to add to your finish product? You mentioned air stones, foggers, sprinklers and kinda just wondering if you were planning?

  19. Cool setup man
