  1. Hey fellas.
well ive gotten bored waiting on my grow cab to flower out so i have been setting up another closet grow with some bubble buckets. i have nutes, ph up down, ph/tds/ppm meter, blah, blah, blah. My question is, i really dont want to drive 2 and a half hours to buy some net pots. so i have some regular plastic pots and figured i would drill them out like retroshark in his dwc grow,
but i did some reading and some people say dont drill out the bottom, just the sides of the pots, i dont see why because netpots arent solid on the bottom.

just figured id ask the city whats up on that, should i drill the bottom also?

  2. I really don't see why it would make any sense not to..

  3. yes, put holes in the bottom too. the taproot will grow straight down, and if it hits a barrier it has a hard time finding a way around it could stunt the plants growth, at least temporarilly. no reason for that at all. you are correct, store bought net pots have holes in the bottom just like the sides.

  4. yup figured the same, the roots need to go down, what do you fella`s think about size of holes? i figured like 1/4in. holes but maybe bigger just as long as it holds the hydrotron.
maybe i can cut it just like a net pot with a dremmel.
