Bubble Bucket Wardrobe Grow

  1. Got the most expensive 6inch inline. Actually dropped the price a fair bit since i bought the lot. Probably like $100 off the lot.

That was exactly what i worried about. Didnt want to spend $120 on a fan and have it grenade after 3 months...

  2. Got pre flowering going on at the moment.

When do i start bloom nutes? Or since its pre flower do i add half grow half bloom till in full flower?

Bit hard without photos. But just in general

  3. auto's can't pre-flower. pre-flowering is when you get a calyx showing in the nodes when the plant becomes sexually mature when in veg. I like to run my auto's on veg formula for the first 5 weeks and bud formula for the second 5 weeks. flowering usually shows after 3 weeks but if I change right away I find the plants become nitrogen deficient very early and consequently stunted growth a bit. I used to go veg for 3 weeks, half n half for 3 weeks and bud for 3 weeks, then the last week just water. that used to work just fine. I don't bother with the half n half now just because it's easier for me

  4. Yep i get you.

Im at day 25 in bucket. Was in hot box for 1 week.
So i guess im at week 4 in total.

Ill see how she is at the end of this week and possibly change over.

Plants seem to be drooping down when the light is off. Is this normal. Looks like over watering...
But like...cant do much about it.
    Unless its something else..

  5. yeah that's normal. it's a strange phenomenon. my plants droop minutes before light off and reach up minutes before lights on. they become accustomed to the light cycle very quickly

  6. Raised the light a bit and that made a difference.

Decided after this will be switching to coco.
I enjoy dwc, but i simply dont have the time for it. Constant monitoring and water changes. Cbf

Coco seems the same as soil apart from mixing up nutes and the watering is much more convenient for my lifestyle

  7. WOOT!
Im back and i have been busy.

Big girl is flowering and getting big, frothin'.
She is bulging like fuck. Gonna bud nice i reckon.

Funny to see only a few weeks difference haha.

    Now! Construction!

Have my 6inch inline and carbon filter to install.

Got some hanger hooks n cable ties. Best friends.
Ill add here the best tools ive used while doing all of this.
Tin snips - cut through anything. Amazing.
Razor blades - for anything from cutting tape to trimming poly to trimming leaves. Amazing again.
Cable ties - they hold the world together and cheap as shit.

Right so i wedged the fan up n cable tied the brackets to hook n pole.

Carbon filter worked with two hooks n cable ties.

    Hooked up ducting through light.

    1373773719953.jpg

Hole in the wardrobe for ducting was cut for 4inch. So i just bought a rubber adaptor from 150mm to 100mm. Taped the fuck out of it.

Got some poly n wrapped it around duct n hole in the wall. Taped it like fuck.

    Next!
Wardrobe doors didnt seal the best.
Got some poly. Cut a sheet 2000mm by 1300mm.
    Covers entire front of wardrobe.
    Staple gun locked n loaded.
Stapled it all up. Trimmed edges off.
Taped the shit out of all the seams.

I have the reflective tape from hydro shop.

    Got 4 panda zips.
Stuck them on. Unzipped n cut.

For the bottom of the sheet so i could open the newly made doors properly i didnt staple at the bottom.
I bought a heavy draught stopper long sock thing. I left enough poly at the bottom that the sock thing could sit on it to hold it down and in place.

Look from the outside with it all closed up.

After doing all this i shouldnt need to do anything else with ducting venting or odour control.
    Feel good about it all.

    Getting pretty crowded now hahah.

  8. nice setup.  looks clean and when closed very stealth.  Can I see your intake vents and if it's not too much to ask how you went about lightproofing them?

  9. Its NEARLY 100% light proof.
My intake vent is one 4 inch hole which i have a fan on. As far as light proofing the intake is a bit shabby. I just got a cardboard box n cut it with a 4inch hole. Id have to take a photo. Its painted black on the inside.

Lots of poly sheeting, lots of reflective tape and lots of foam tape.

Its stealth as long as you turn the power off. Otherwise its pretty noisey.

  10. I just assume the 4 inch hole is enough.

With the 6inch inline going and the intake fan off, it passively turns the fins on the intake fan haha.

Wont lie, the 6inch is a little overkill at the moment. But in summer here its 30C+ everyday so it will be needed.

Running it via cool tube setup brought my temps down by about 3-6 degrees. Depends how warm it is outside really.

As i just leave the window open in the room all the time, with a cover over ducted heating and a draught stopper on the bottom of the door to the room. Keeps the room at same temp as outside.

  11. how big of a fan do you need to pull air through filter light and all the bends and shit in venting? how big is yours? does it significantly decrease temperature?

  12. You would need 4 inch inline fan at least.
I opted for 6inch one just to be safe for summer.

I said in thr last post. Dropped temps by 3-6 degrees. Temps were sitting between 21-26.
Now temps dont go over 22 degrees at worst. Average max has been 21. Mostly sits at 18-19 degrees though.
    Depends on outside temp really.

Filter is controlling odour pretty well.

  13. sorry, let me be more specific, how many CFM?

  14. Dunno. Somewhere between 300-400.

Even after all filter light and ducting its blowing out plenty of hot air.

    Is noisey though

  15. mines 435 and the idk 10 feet of ducting after fan makes a huge difference, was wondering what type of power you would need to run cooltube with filter and all the bends in ducting :p i guess i know mine is big enough :D i prob wont bother with cooltube though, just a reflector then a filter inside tent, i dont have the height for all your crazy duct work :(

  16. Hahah apparently neither do i.

Big plant has grown too tall. Started burning top leaves.

    Tied the bitch down

you can tie down in flowering? i thought lst stopped then  BRB............

  18. No idea.
It was that or burn the shit out of top cola

  19. Probably not great  but should still recover yeah? I just ran into the fan problem too lol, no room for any type of silencer either unfortunately.

  20. She is fine. I didnt pintch the stem or anything. Just tied it over.

Today i tied and tucked all the fan leaves i could away. Still pressing against the walls. But looks much better and the bud sites are getting heaps more light.

Few photos before i tied it all down.
