bubble bucket ph ?

  1. This is my first grow and Im using a bubble bucket. I have 2 bag seed plants that are around 2-3 weeks old under 4 2 foot t5's. The ph is set at 5.8 with a ppm at 500 (foxfarm). My question is I check my ph every other day and the ph is up to about 7. I have checked my meter and I keep having to readjust the ph down, is this normal? Also, does anyone have a feeding / flush schedule to go by.
    Thanks

oh yea one more thing.. I plan on LSTing this plant. I would like ot presex to find if I wasteing my time. When can I start the presex.

  2. ph will rise gradually if u have a healthy plant feeding normally on the correct strength feed for its age :)
If u notice it falling steadily, it's usually as the plant uses more water than nutes due to the mix being too strong & v/v.

u could slightly increase the feed strength, but don't overdo it - what you're seeing is normal & indicates that ur nute strength is spot on.
500ppm is ok for 3wk old plants, but they will want more as they progress.

    ph btw should be higher once u flower them - 6.0 - 6.5 ;)

u want to be changing out fortnightly (some say weekly but i think it's a waste of good nutes.....) & flush out the bucket with fresh tapwater between changes.
