If I have 5gal dwc outdoors does the water temp matter in summer. Also, do I need a resivour ? Aside from bubbles do I need to circulate the water like in a fish tank ? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I’ve heard of people doing DWC outdoors but I never have. It all depends on what your temperature is outside. You want to keep your water temp around 65-70F degrees. You don’t need a reservoir because your bucket is your reservoir. You’ll just need to top it off more often. my nutrients during veg is almost 4 gallons and I won’t have to touch it for a week and then I empty and change, during flower I will have to add water/nutrients at least once during the week. there’s no need to circulate in your bucket, your air stones will do that.

Questions ; How often water change ? I change my water weekly. I dump it out, clean my bucket and refill with water and nutrients. But later on in flower you will need to do it more often due to them using more water How often add nutrients. ? Nutrients will be added to the water at every water change. Just follow the schedule of whatever nutrients you choose to use. Do I refill through top of plant ? I refill through the top of my net basket later on when the girls are to big to change the bucket out. What’s a good nutrient brand ? I’ve had great luck with advanced nutrients PH perfect Grow,Micro,Bloom. It’s a simple 3 part system and helps keep your PH in line. I like it because it’s simple to use until you get the hang of what’s going on. And you’ll always need some Cal/Mag on hand.
