I could never really rock the "technical" death metal bands all that much. Cryptopsy was fucking awesome, Spawn of Possession and Neuraxis are cool too, but some bands just take the technical thing waaaaay too far to the point where its just boring, and the whole brand itself seemed to breed too many bands too fast IMO. Be that as it may, keep on rockin, we're all still broskis when it comes to underground heavy music.
I used to be obsessed with tech death shit, but I havent listened in a while. Defeated Sanity was always a favorite, so I might check out their new stuff. I took drum lessons from KC Howard for a few years, drummer of Decrepit Birth and Odious Mortem. Those guys are just insane, so talented but their songs are brutal as hell. Everyone in those bands are major stoners too, always taking bong hits when I would come over hahaha.
